Municipal Pool of Belvédère

The Municipal Pool of Belvédère, after a complete renovation, reopened to the public with a grand inauguration ceremony on Friday, October 25, 2024. The event, led by artist Ziyad Gharsa, was supervised by Mr. Sadiq Al-Mourali, Minister of Youth and Sports, and brought together prominent figures, including Imad Boukhris, Governor of Tunis, Lotfi Dachroui, Secretary General in charge of the management of the municipality of Tunis, as well as members of the Assembly of People's Representatives and local councils. Artist Ikram Azouz opened the ceremony by paying tribute to the veterans of the Baladiyin Club, who trained in this historic space, and by tracing the history of the pool through a documentary presentation.

Equipped with numerous modern facilities, the pool offers a large adult pool, a children's pool, upscale changing rooms, a tennis court, as well as a bar and showers equipped with water-saving systems. An automatic heating and filtration system ensures the quality and safety of the water. The reopening of the pool marks a new chapter for this iconic space, which will soon host cultural events, wedding ceremonies, and sports activities starting from November 1, 2024. The rehabilitation of the pool was supervised by the President of the Republic, Mr. Kais Saied, after a reconnaissance visit on February 15, 2024, and has been a symbol of the state's commitment to improving public infrastructure.
