City Hall of Tunis

The City Hall of Tunis is located in the heart of the Tunisian capital. It is one of the oldest and most important municipal institutions in the country. Founded in 1858, it plays a vital role in the management and development of the city of Tunis, which is considered an administrative and political center for Tunisia, as well as a major economic, cultural, and educational hub.

Since its establishment in 1858, the City Hall of Tunis has been managed by 31 mayors who have guided the affairs of the city, managed municipal services, and contributed to enhancing the social, economic, and cultural development of Tunis. Currently, the City Hall of Tunis is led by an elected municipal council, chaired by Ms. Souad Ben Abd El Rahim, for a term of five years, starting from July 3, 2018.
