At the time of the world day of the environment and within the framework of the follow-up of the situation of the parks of large Tunis, Président Zine El Abidine Ben Ali went on June 5th, 2003 to the park of Belvedere in order to get information about the actions carried out hygiene environmental maintenance. The Head of the State took note of the situation of the various components and the daily activities of the park of Belvedere and gave the kicks-off of the operation of the network of watering.

Indeed the park of Belvedere is fed out of water via two surveys which are in the botanical garden and the zoological gardens.

These two surveys drive back water in a water cover of a capacity of 50 m3 having two electric pomps which make ebb water in two basins located on coasts 50 and 80 Mr.

Once water arrives at the basins, it runs by gravity to supply the various valves of the network, then it is conveyed through underground conduits and drains towards the solid masses.
