Dar Hamouda Pacha
Address : 56, Sidi Ben Arous street

- This princely residence was built by Hamouda Pasha son of Mourad Pasha which had obtained the title of Pasha of Soltan of Istanbul and the right to transmit it to his son Hamouda .

At the XVIII century, the property was offered by the Bey to Salah Ben Mohamed Kehia for his good and faithful services. The new owner constituted it in habous and it remained between the hands of its heirs until 1872.

1872, Hamouda Ben Amor Chahed purchased it under the procedure of the exchange mouadha and restored it in the form of habous in its turn.

- Thanks to the abolition of the habous by decree of July 18th, 1957, the chahed found the legal solution to the problem of the joint possession and the management of their goods and could on sale put it in 1995.

Two promoters decide to rehabilitate Dar by repurchasing it on behalf of “the Company of Touristique development of the medina”.

Thanks to these installations, a coffee Moor was installed in the sqifas. Two high galleries face and shelter the principal parts.
