Address : 75, Bab Jedid street

This gate was built in 676 H/1277 AD during the reign of Sultan Yahia Al Hafsi. It has the characteristics of military buildings of the Almohad period with zigzagging entrances of defensive conception. The gate was damaged during the civil war that opposed in 1148 H/1735 AD Ali Pasha II to his uncle Hassine Ben Ali and the former ordered its restoration in 1183 H/1769 AD.
