Mausoleum Sidi Boukhrissane
Close to the Street of Sidi Bou Khrissane, whose name perpetuates that of the dynasty of Béni Khourassane (11th - 12th century), is this necropolis which belonged to the oldest cemetery of the city.

Address: 12, Street Ben Mahmoud

Close to the Street Sidi Bou Khrissane, whose name perpetuates that of the dynasty of Béni Khourassane (11th - 12th century), is this necropolis which belonged to the oldest cemetery of the city. This one skirted the old ramparts, in the South-west of the Medina. The steles reatin the attention by the calligraphic richness of their epitaphs.

The building assigning the shape of the traditional funerary cupola to the Maghreb, dates from the 11th century. It shelters the tombs of Béni Khourassane. The hemispherical dome rises on a broader circular drum which rests on a square basis, four large pillars support the unit and underline its imposing character.
