    This mausoleum was built by the sovereign Ali Bey II, (1758 - 1782) first prince husseïnite to be buried there. Except for the first two sovereigns of the dynasty: Hussein Ben Ali and Mohamed Arrachid buried both with dug peat of Sidi Kacem Sebabti, contiguous to Jemaâ Jedid, and of the two last Mohamed Al buried Moncef and Mohamed Lamine the 1st first with the cemetery az-Zallaj and the second with the cemetery of Marsa, all other Beys, princes and princesses as some privileged ministers are buried in this dug peat. The monument, considered as most important of the mausoleums of the Town of Tunis, is composed of a complex succession of rooms and courses in which left again themselves them dug peat. The last room which contains them dug peat of the “Pashas” (sovereign having reigned) is most luxurious. It is built according to the model of the mosque Sultan Ahmed in Istanbul. The external walls are built in an incoherent way, one meets there all the Mediterranean styles of the time. After its restoration in 1992, this dug peat was opened with the public. Its appendix is located not far, at the n° 62, street Tourbet Al Bey known as Tourba Al Fellari.
