  • El Teatro:
  • EL TEATRO, the great adventure

Space : A little bit insane adventure. The Start was done nevertheless. Slowly. Painfully, one thought at that time of the sides of the founder Taoufk Jebali: Zïneb Farhat, surrounded by a handful of friends and artists posting an insane determination to note the first syllables of an epopee, it is: Mokhtar Derouiche, Tahar Maina, Raouf Ben Amor.)
Follow-ups by much of others, Rached Manai, Mohsen Ray, Mahmoud Larnaout, Kamel Touati, Kaïs Rostom, Imen Smaoui, etc…
? EL TEATRO cut a central place in the Tunisian cultural scene in general and tunisoise in particular. It has today its public, a style which privileges quality in any thing, a project which is to put forward any marked work of the seal of the serious one, of the originality and professionalism… From Tunis and besides, theater, dance, music, cinema, exposures, artistic meetings various found refuge in this place and one would have evil to imagine Tunis without EL TEATRO.!
    A space of freedom
It is with EL TEATRO that and several theatrical works which strongly marked the Nineties were designed. It is also at this place that the Tunisian and foreign artists of high invoice music dance occurred. During ten years, El Teatro will have been a space of freedom. What is not little.

    EL TEATRO Studio

original space of creation and of theatrical diffusion, this experiment started in 1994. Of teaching theatrical size, the young public was the target.

5 texts and not of least: “The chairs”, “the good ones”, “Misses Julie”, “the human voice” and “the informer” were with the program. A flock of actors on the departure, some confirmed competences, very few financial means, much ideas.
The turn was played. For only 2/5 of the dreams: “Chairs” by A.M. Sellami, and “the good ones” by F. Akkari. But a good press. And a beautiful round through the concentrations estudantines in the areas.
