Bab Bhar or “carries sea” draws its name from that of a door hafside of which it occupies the site and who separated the Medina from the accesses of the lake. With the installation of protectorate, one called it: “Door of France”. It still keeps its general aspect going back to 1265/1848 and does not present particular originality if not its gate to two leaves out of covered wooden of plating out of iron.
